About the opportunity
We are seeking an experienced relationship builder to help develop relationships with philanthropic supporters, with the ultimate aim of increasing our untied revenue. This will include growing mid-level donors into major givers, supporting bequestors, soliciting existing major donors and acquiring new donors with a special focus on optimizing fundraising opportunities inspired by our 40th Anniversary this year.

About the program
This hybrid role sits within the Partnerships, Fundraising and Marketing team and works alongside 4 other enthusiastic fundraising specialists.
The successful applicant would thrive in using data to find new opportunities and identifies creative ways to communicate with our very special supporters. Applicants from outside the fundraising industry will be considered if they have equivalent experience.

About you - Key Selection Criteria:

  • Experience building relationships with high-net-worth individuals.
  • 3 years’ experience delivering a bequests, major or mid-level donor program or;
  • 3 years' experience in a relationship building role, with exposure to a CRM database such as Salesforce; to support, plan and utilise data.
  • An appropriate qualification or relevant experience suited to fundraising or sales disciplines.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with shifting and short deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated success working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • A collaborative and positive working style.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop reports and presentations.
  • A proactive self-starter who thrives on finding innovative methods to reach a variety of audiences and can work independently.
  • A current National Criminal History Check & Working with Children Check.
